One of the best things about Gene’s Place has always been the people who walk through the door. Neighbors, old friends, new friends, travelers, storytellers, musicians — everybody has a place here.
That’s what Gene’s Stage is all about.
We’re proud to bring live performances to Morgantown from talented artists near and far. Folk, blues, country, rock, pop, something we haven’t even heard before — if it’s honest, interesting, and performed with heart, we want to hear it.
And let me be clear: new acts are always welcome at Gene’s. Local, regional, national, international — it doesn’t matter where you’re from. If you’ve got songs to share, stories to tell, or a sound that deserves a room full of good people, send it our way.
Gene’s Stage is here for the performers, the listeners, and the community that happens when live music brings everyone together.
So come catch a show. Bring a friend. Tell a musician. And remember — everyone’s welcome at Gene’s.
If you’re a musician or songwriter, Gene’s Stage not only celebrates big names — it’s actively searching for the next wave of talent. Their “HOW CAN I PERFORM ON GENE’S STAGE?” process is simple: submit streaming links or recordings via the form on their website (or send a hard-copy submission). If selected, you’ll be contacted to schedule your show. Genes Stage Page
It’s a golden opportunity for anyone serious about their craft to get in front of an encouraging audience. Your sound might be exactly what Gene’s Stage is looking for.
