Gene’s Place is the oldest running beer garden in Morgantown – started in 1944. Gene’s has always been known for their famous hotdog (best in Morgantown), cold beer, as well as friendly staff and regulars.

Gene’s also features a great venue for some of the best live music in Morgantown! Al Bonner, owner and operator, took over Gene’s from the original owners, the Perilli Family, in 1985. Gene’s is tucked away in the Greenmont neighborhood of Morgantown.

Walking into Gene’s is like taking a step back in time. The environment is always friendly and you’ll feel like a regular immediately. If you’re looking for a great place to relax, listen to music, watch games and hear/tell great stories, you’ll love Gene’s.

My favorite bar in Morgantown. Fantastic atmosphere. Great staff. Best beer selection all around. It's obvious that a lot of love has been put into this place. Thank y'all for a memorable night!
